White/Grey
With very light or grey hair and a cooler complexion you should try lighter coloured frames and avoid heavy dark tones such as tortoise shells, and yellows. Bright coloured frames wonderfully compliment white or silver hair if you have the confidence to carry this look off. Reds, magenta, and gunmetal in metallic or plastic frames will also suit you rather well.
Blonde
With blonde, fair or light brown hair and a pale complexion you should try lightweight styles with delicate colour effects, pastel shades or transparent frames. You can experiment with colours, which add warmth to your skin tone. Dark and heavy styles will create impact as will earth tones such as blues, greens and light-coloured metals. If you blush easily, avoid pinks and amber.
Light Brown
Compliment your hair colour with a pair of metallic frames in warm colours like bronze, burgundy or tortoise shell. Avoid dark colours, cold colours, heavy-looking styles as well as delicate metals. For those of you with highlighted brown hair, metallic frames in gold, havana and soft browns look amazing. Never choose pastel!
Auburn
Fiery redheads can choose almost any colour, but never yellow or white! Rich browns, khaki, copper, gold, greens, and tortoise shell colours will reflect the warmth of your hair and eye colour. Only go for cold colours if you want to make a bold statement with a strong contrast. Purples are also quite dramatic with red hair. Make sure your choice harmonize with your wardrobe also.
Dark Brown
All you brunettes can compliment your hair colour with a pair of dark chocolate or burgundy coloured frames to invite envious looks! Metallic frames in gold, silver, soft browns look amazing however never choose pastels or heavy-looking, dark coloured frames. Brunettes can also go for a tortoise shell finish for an especially eye catching look.
Black
With black hair consider yourself lucky, your hair colour allows you to choose glasses in any colour. However, if you want to really make a strong statement, opt for metallic frames in regular shapes and colours. Dark finishes like dark tortoise will give you an edge! You should avoid bright colours unless you want to make a bold and strong impact.
